Free AI Stem Splitter

Free Stem Splitter
That Lets You Play Along

Drop in a song and get six stems: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and everything else. No account, no card, no watermark. And instead of a zip of files, the stems open in a mixer, so you can mute your own part and play with the rest of the band straight away.

A free stem splitter that goes further

Six Stems, Not Four

Most free splitters stop at vocals, drums, bass and a lump called other. Here guitar and piano get their own channels, so a guitarist or a keys player can actually take their part out of the mix.

A Mixer, Not a Download Page

The stems land on faders with mute, solo, low and high shelf and pan. Slow the song down without changing the pitch, loop the bars you keep missing, and practise. Export only when the mix is right.

Free Means Free

Two separations a day, every day, with nothing held back: full-length songs, full-quality 24-bit WAV export at your song's own sample rate, and no account to make. The cap is per day, so it resets tomorrow.

One Split, Every Version

Mute the vocals and you have an instrumental, solo them and you have an a cappella, drop only the drums and you have a drumless track. You split the song once and get all of them, instead of running it through a different tool for each.

Nothing to Install

The separation runs in the cloud and the mixer runs in the browser tab, so it works on a laptop, a tablet or a phone with no download and no graphics card of your own.

What People Do With Stems

Play along with the rest of the band, make a karaoke or backing track, learn a bass line or a solo by ear, or hear how a mix is built, one instrument at a time.

How it works

Step 1

Drop in a song

MP3, WAV, FLAC or M4A. A whole song, not a preview.

Step 2

Wait a minute or two

The separation runs on a GPU in the cloud. Your song and stems stay in your browser afterwards.

Step 3

Mute, solo, play along

Pull your instrument down, solo the part you are learning, slow it down if you need to. Export a 24-bit WAV when you want the file.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free stem splitter with no sign-up?

Yes, this one. Open the app, drop in a song, and the stems are yours. There is no account, no email and no card. Free use is capped at two songs a day per person, and the cap resets every day.

How many stems does it split a song into?

Six: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other. Guitar and piano are separate channels, not folded into a general instrumental, which is the difference that matters if that is the instrument you play.

Is it a vocal and instrumental splitter too?

Yes. Mute the vocals and you have an instrumental. Solo the vocals and you have an a cappella. Because the split goes further than two parts, you can also drop just the guitar or just the drums out of the same song.

What is the best completely free stem splitter?

It depends on what free has to mean for you. Some tools are free to preview but charge to download, some need an install and a good graphics card, and some cap you at a couple of songs a month. Here the cap is two full songs a day, the export is 24-bit WAV, and the whole thing runs in a browser tab, on a laptop or a phone.

Does a DAW like Logic have a stem splitter?

Logic Pro has one built in. It separates four stems and needs a Mac with Apple silicon. If you already own Logic and only need four parts, use it. If you want guitar and piano on their own channels, want to work on any computer or a phone, or just want to play along without opening a project, that is what this page is for.

What quality are the stems?

The separation uses a six-stem Demucs model, the same family of models most paid splitters run. Exports are 24-bit WAV at the song's original sample rate, with no re-compression. Quality depends on the source: a dense mix with a lot of distorted guitar is harder than a clean recording, for any splitter.

Where do my files go?

The song is uploaded for separation and the stems are stored in your browser's own storage, in a small library you can come back to. Uploads are deleted from the server within 24 hours.

Is this an AI stem splitter?

Yes. The separation is done by a neural network, a six-stem Demucs model, which is what AI stem splitter usually means. It listens to the finished mix and estimates each instrument on its own, so an ordinary stereo file splits without anyone needing the original multitracks.

Can I split a song into stems online, without installing anything?

Yes. Open the page, drop in the file and the stems open in a mixer in the same tab. Nothing to install, and no graphics card needed, because the separation runs in the cloud.

How do I split an MP3 into stems?

Drop the MP3 into the app and wait for the separation, usually a few minutes for a full song. You get six stems on their own faders. Mute or solo whatever you need, and export the mix as a 24-bit WAV when it sounds right.

What are the limits for a free split?

A song of up to 10 minutes and 50 MB, as MP3, WAV, FLAC or M4A, and two songs a day. A studio-quality source gives cleaner stems than a low-bitrate MP3.

Can I make a karaoke or backing track with it?

Yes. Mute the vocals for a karaoke version, or mute your own instrument for a backing track you can play over, then export the mix. The less bleed you want, the cleaner the source file should be.

Can I use the stems in my own music or a remix?

For practice and personal use there is nothing to worry about. Releasing a remix or sampling a recording is a rights question, exactly as it is with any other source, and splitting the song does not change who owns it.

Split it, practised it. Playing it on stage?

When your mix is ready for a gig, send the file to CountIn, our sibling tool. It bakes a synced count-in into the track, so the band comes in together on beat one from any phone or playback app, and it can transpose the song to your singer's key without changing the tempo.
